A wheel of cheese is your objective and a tide of rats is the problem, which makes Parmesan Partisan a defense game wearing a shooter's clothes. The shotgun is a wide, close-range tool rather than a sniping instrument, so success depends less on aim than on where you stand and which upgrade you buy next. Waves get heavier, your firepower grows to meet them, and the gap between those two curves is where the tension sits.
How to play
You hold ground, clear rats before they reach the cheese, and put what you earn into upgrades between pushes. Survive, spend, survive something worse. The common beginner error is chasing: a stray rat pulls you off the objective, you follow it, and others slip in behind you. A shotgun rewards patience, so let them come into range instead of walking into the swarm to save half a second.
Tips
- Favour rate of fire and coverage over raw damage early on; when a dozen rats arrive together, how often you can shoot matters more than how hard.
- Fight with the cheese behind you and the approach in front, so nothing gets past while your attention is on the nearest target.
- Use the quiet seconds after a wave clears to reposition, not only to shop. Starting the next wave in the wrong spot costs more than an upgrade gains you.
